Step 1: Create a soothing space
Clear the area of clutter and other possible distractions before beginning the Reiki session. Candles, incense, and essential oils are all effective ways to create a calm and soothing environment.
Step 2: Prepare yourself
Spend some time in silence connecting with your breath. By doing so and placing your hands over your heart, you may ground and center yourself. While over your heart, see yourself being filled with light and energy.
Step 3: Connecting with yourself-
Lie down comfortably. Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.. Put your hands on your body and inhale deeply a few times to connect with your energy.
Step 4: Starting the session-
Place your hands on or close to your body to begin the Reiki session, then let the Reiki energy to flow. Spend some time concentrating on each location, and then use your instincts to determine where to lay your hands. In this time images may pop into your head, this is a great sign!
Step 5: Continuing the session-
Keep doing Reiki for 20 to 30 minutes, or until you feel the energy stop flowing. If you are attuned to Reiki symbols, you can also use them or integrate visualization exercises to improve the session.
Step 6: End the Session
Once the session is over, gently take your hands off of your body and express your gratitude. To aid yourself in grounding and assimilating the Reiki energy, it's always recommended to have a drink of water.
